Vivid and Vulnerable Vessels opens on June 3, 2022 and is on view through June 25, 2022 at the Foundation Art Space, a gallery, production base, and headquarters for the Arts Industry Alliance and TEAM. The Exhibition will be on display through June 25, 2022. Open hours for viewing will be on Fridays from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Saturdays from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, and by appointment.
Harper Lake states about the new collection, “This series is incredibly personal to me, and I am very excited to present this new collection at the Foundation Art Space. The human form can receive varying reactions when a person views themselves with a self-assessing mind. At times we may be confident, much like the bold, vivid colors on my canvases, which are all wood. In other moments, we may feel like the thin layer of iridescent paint I use; vulnerable, exposing the natural grain beneath, and hesitant. I am a pendulum, swinging between these two radically different states of being. However, I aim to see myself as just a human and hold no importance over how I appear; for my body is a vessel for all that I think, do, and create."
